So I know I am horrible at blogging. I need to do it better and more often. I'm super fantastic at reading everybody else's blogs and catching up on their lives, but not so good at keeping mine up to date.

So, this is a blog that I read. I read her post today and I totally understand her. I'm not very good at expressing my feeling, but other people tend to hit the nail on the head and then I wonder why I didn't think of it that way. Anyway.......check this post out if you have a minute,

If you haven't heard their story and you have time you should go back through her blog and read it. It is a family from Provo. Bronson is their little boy who drowned in their bath tub. She goes through every moment step by step. Her thoughts, her heartaches, her spiritual ahas. I couldn't imagine going through what she went through, but I clearly understand how it happened. If you're wondering Bronson is perfectly normal, happy, healthy child. He's a miracle. I love his story and I'm so grateful that she shared it with everyone.

This is not the best picture, it a picture of my computer, done with my phone. But I love this picture, I ordered one, but I just wanted to share it cuz I love it. This girl came to the hospital and did a free photo shoot and then you can order pictures if you want to. It was nice.

So I know, I'm a slacker. I've been meaning to put pictures of Eliza up. The last three weeks have been pretty rough. I don't know if it's the fact that this was my fourth child, or if it's the fact that it is the fourth in five years, or a combination of both, but I am just not bouncing back as fast. My body still hurts. During the first week I had a fever and we thought I had a bladder, or uterine infection. So after a test we found out it was nothing. But I was still miserable. Eliza has thrush. If any of you know about that, it's not fun. For me. I don't think she even cares. But it kills me. It's a yeast infection that lives in their mouth. So when you breast feed you transfer it back and forth. I have open sores, lets just say it's painful. I've been so ready to just stop nursing, but I keep telling myself it will be better in the long run if I can just get through this. I've had thrush with all my kids except Caden. It hasn't been this bad with any of them. It's getting better though. I think I'll make it.

Last Sunday we went with Curtis down to St. George. He had a 4 day training so we decided to go have a vacation. Vacation-HA! Monday night he came home and told me they had given them Tuesday off to work on their presentations they had to do. I'm so glad he got that day off because just after 10 Monday night all 3 kids started throwing up. We were up all night with them throwing up. I'm so glad I didn't have to take care of it alone. So needless to say, we didn't do a whole lot on that "vacation". Then as soon as we get home it's run run run.

I feel like it's Spring because I'm trying to clean my house really good because it hasn't been cleaned good for months.

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary on November 2. We went to dinner at P.F. Changs. Then we did our Christmas shopping. I have a feeling that's what our anniversary date is going to be every year. Dinner and Christmas shopping. We got most of it done though.

I want to get some pictures from my mom of the birth. My husband doesn't take very many pictures. Here's a few that we have though.

Of course I don't want to put this one on, I didn't even want to take it, but Curtis wanted a picture of me because well, we really don't have any. It does look pretty funny. But you can see why I don't take pictures of me pregnant!

She was 7 lbs 14 oz 19 1/2 inches. I never thought I would have an almost 8 lb baby!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, while I was in labor Olivia broke her arm at my parents house. It's really not that big of a break, I couldn't even see it on the x-ray. But we weren't there, and we didn't take her so we didn't really get to talk about it or anything. Our doctor looked at the x-ray after we told him what happened, and he said it would have healed on it's on with maybe a splint. But maybe because she is little she wouldn't keep it on and to help with the pain they just put a cast on. We go in this week and she's supposed to get another one on, we'll see if she needs it.

So if anybody is wondering what's going on, here it is.

NO BABY

I'm 38 1/2 weeks. I really thought I'd have it by now. No such luck.

I've have braxton hick all day every day for the past few months. But they don't do ANYTHING! It's really frustrating. They are getting stronger so I think that they might be doing something, but the last 3 weeks that I have been checked, there is no change. I'm 1 1/2 cm-every week. The worst part is I have contractions at night, all night long about 8-10 min apart, every night, and every night they get more painful, so I don't sleep and I keep thinking, maybe it's starting, then as soon as the morning hits, they stop. It is soooo frustrating. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. He is going to strip my membranes on Tuesday, so we'll see if that works. It worked last time. So hopefully I'll be ready enough on Tuesday that it will work. In the mean time, I have stopped going to school. It's too hard to be on my feet all day and then come home and still have tons of stuff to do and just be exhausted. My plan is to go back in January. It's so nice that they are so flexible with me and my schedule. I do miss it right now, but it would just be too hard to do. That's about all that's going on. We just hang out at home, don't do a whole lot. Just waiting for a baby to get here.

Nauvoo

We took a family trip to Nauvoo this past week. My brother Michael is there for the summer being a preforming missionary. It was really fun to go there and spend so much time there. Not like when we've gone there for a day or two before. We spent 4 days there and there was still more to see that we didn't get to. We were spending a lot of time watching all the plays and everything that Michael was involved in because that was one of our main reasons for going. But he is still a missionary so we couldn't spend all of our time with him. He is loving it though! He is learning all the history and everything that is out there. I didn't even know there were missions like this out there. He will be home on Aug. 17 I think.

The "trip" its self was actually better then I thought it would be. We only had on throw up incident which happened about 2 hours into the trip. So we got some drugs for that and didn't have any more. We did have one problem with our car but it all worked out ok. We had just left Adam-ondi-ahmen, and if you have ever been there you know it's in the middle of nowhere. So we were following my parents and the plan was to go to Far West then to Liberty, then to Independence. But my parents were trying to get to Independence before a certain time because they wanted to meet with Caleb's mission president before it got too late. So they decided to bypass Far West and just go straight to Independence and then come back to Liberty. So Curtis and I were talking and we decided that we didn't need to go to meet with the mission president so we were going to go to Far West. Well, just after I got off the phone with my mom, of course we have a child that has to go potty!! So we hit the first gas station we passed. Which was pretty close but it was literally the middle of nowhere. So Curtis took Livi in to go potty, and he came out and he was pointing at the tire. When he got in he said-"Well I guess it's a good thing we stopped, because we have a flat tire" So luckily they had a place for air for the tires, and Curtis went in a bought some sort of a kit the patches tires. you shove things in to the holes I guess. So I was watching him try and get the things in, and I can hear the air blowing out. And as he's putting this thing in they are just shredding because it was so hot. So that wasn't working.I looked at the front tire, and it was flat too. Luckily there was this girl at the gas station that knew this guy that lived like 2 blocks away that did tires. So she showed us where he lived. He took off the back tire and patched it, then when he was filling it up with air the side walls just bubbled out. The front tire wasn't as bad. So he filled it up with air and then he showed us to the nearest Walmart was so we could get it fixed. Thank goodness for kind people who helped us out. While we were sitting in the car figuring this all out I decided to call our roadside assistance that we got with our warranty from the dealer. They were not helpful AT ALL!!! First of all they couldn't find us. But as he's looking for us, he was asking me some questions. I told him we had a couple flat tires. The first question he asked me was, "how many spare tires do you have?" Are you KIDDING me!!! Do you think I'm an IDIOT! How many spare tires do people have? So he then tells me that the only thing they do for flat tires is come out and change them and then they take the flat one, fix it and get it back to you. So unless you have 2 spares they can't really do anything. But-a flat tire doesn't qualify you for a tow. I guess there's no rule for 2 flat tires. If we wanted to pay out of pocket they would tow it and then we could battle it out with the roadside assistance company to see if they would reimburse us. I'm so glad we didn't have to do that. I'm also glad that I know that about our roadside assistance if I ever get 2 flat tires again. So needless to say we got fixed up at Walmart and then we bypassed Far West and went straight to Liberty and met my parent there just in time. The only other issue we had was that night. We decided to drive as far as we could and just find a hotel that night. So midnight rolls around and we decide that the next town we see we should stop. So at that stop, there were no Hotel rooms available. So we drove to the next little town. Nothing. So we continue to drive hoping to find something. We were in about mid Kansas. Well, we finally got told that there was nothing available from there until the Colorado border because there was some State fair starting in the morning. So we drove until we couldn't drive anymore. We found a gas station and parked there and slept for the night. Well, about 3 or 4 hours. Drove home the next day. Anyway, it was a good trip. Thanks goodness for my mom. She took tons of pictures. I am so not good at it. I have a few that I took on my phone, but I need to get all the pictures from her, and then I'll share them. If I remember to. But here's what I have-

These were hat's from one of the plays Micheal was in. They were dressing up. It was so cute. Caden LOVED all the sister missionaries. He would always find them and hug them and talk their ears off. He was always asking me where the girls were.

This was Olivia's favorite place. I don't remember what it was called,but it had activities for the kids. She loved to dress up and just play. We walked by it the next day and she started crying because she wanted to go be a princess.

School, here I come!

So I've decided to head back to school!

Those of you that know me, know that I have always always always wanted to go to beauty school. Looking back now I regret that I didn't go a long time ago, ya know, before I had kids. Then, I was going to go, then I found out I was pregnant with Payton, and I told myself I just couldn't do it, with 2 kids and one on the way. Well, here I am 3 kids and one on the way and I'm just gonna do it! I'm gonna jump in there and get it done or I'll just keep putting it off. I was always planning on going to MATC because they're super close, and super cheap. Well, I found out that they're moving. They're not moving too far, but it's far enough that I don't want to drive that far.

So one day I was playing on line, looking up schools to see if I could get some info on prices. Well, needless to say none of them list school costs on line. I came across this school in AF, on the hospital road. That is super close to my house. I had never heard of it before. So I had to go in and check it out because of course, there wasn't a whole lot of info on line. So I went in there and met with the owners, and they are super nice. It's a really new school, so it's not too big yet. They were also running a special, $9,000 off tuition. It was still more then what I wanted to pay, but it is better then any other school, that I know of at least. But my favorite part is that they are going to be super flexible with me since ya know, I have almost 4 kids. The first 8 weeks are full time, and then after that it's just 4 hours a day. 4 hours! I can do that. But on days that my husband is home I'm going to go all day so I can get done sooner. It starts June 22. So this summer is going to be kind of crazy busy, but I just need to do it. It felt so comfortable being there and I just had the strongest feeling that I just needed to jump in and do it. So that's what I'm doing. I haven't looked into student loans yet, but hopefully that will happen tomorrow, and if I'm supposed to go then everything will fall into place. Not that I want to get ANOTHER loan, but I feel ok about it since the prophets have said it's ok to do it for school. But then it just makes me feel guilty about all of our other debt. But isn't that why I'm going to school? Yes.

Anyway, that's my life as of right now. I'm positive I will be needing models so if you're interested, let me know!!

1 Year check up

Payton went in for his one year check yesterday. Poor baby. He got the regular 4 shots, but the doctor also wanted to take blood and run some tests because he's so little. He weighs 15 lbs 6 oz. He gained ALMOST a pound in 3 months. The doctor said that for him to be in the 5th percentile he needs to weigh 19 lbs. He's not on the charts right now. He's been gaining weight, just not very much so he's hasn't really been on the charts at all anyway. So he wants to check for things like anemia. He didn't say what else he was checking for but I know there's other things. So then the nurse at the doctors office tried to take blood from him, but her needle wasn't small enough. So then we had to go to the hospital and have the other arm poked. Poor kid, he got poked so many times. But he's doing good today. We have to just try and bulk him up. Give him lots of fatty food and try and make him gain weight. But besides being small, everything else was great. Developmentally and everything. The doctor doesn't think anything is wrong with him because he's happy and healthy, so the only reason we're doing the tests is because of the numbers. I don't think anything is wrong with him either. I think he's just small. But we'll see how the tests come back.

So I guess I need to apologize to all my friends and family. Yes, we're having another child. We haven't made a big official announcement. We (at least I) feel like people are probably sick of hearing that we're having ANOTHER one. It's old news. Surprise Surprise. We have just told the people who see us all the time because there's really no hiding it anymore. But I didn't feel like I was far enough along to make an announcement. I'm 12 weeks now. I look like I'm 5 months though. At least that's how I feel I look. So here's your announcement everyone. I'm sorry if people felt left out or offended. Now you know. The due date is Oct. 27. Hopefully it will be before that though. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Baby Birds?!

So, the other day was really nice outside. I've been feeling a little better so I decided to clean the house. Since it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. Over the last few weeks, occasionally when I go into our bath room I've been startled by what I thought was a bird in the window sill, but then I just brush it off as our house being so dirty that's it's just leaves caught in the window sill. Ya know how bathroom windows are like foggy so you can't see in or out. So I just saw this pile in corner that I thought was crap I guess. I only saw it at certain times of the day though. Probably mostly evening when the shadow was just right. Anyway, I was going through the house opening windows to air out the house and I got to my bathroom, didn't think anything of it, opened the window, and this bird flies away. Scared me to DEATH. So after I calm down, I looked out my window to see this-

A nest! I was so right! So I got up on my tippy toes to peak in and see this-

It's kinda hard to see, but there's eggs in there, little blue ones! I tries to leave the window open for a while, but the mom wouldn't come back until the window was shut. So now I don't want to open my window because I don't want to give her a heart attack every time I open it. But when those babies hatch it's going to be so annoying. I will hear them all the time, I hope they learn to fly soon. I'll try to get pictures of them when they hatch and show everyone.

That's just what it looks like from the outside. I'm really nervous that my kids are going to pull those branches that are hanging down and kill them. I hope they stay away.

If you haven't read it, seen it, or heard of it, I HIGHLY suggest that you read it. If you are a mother, READ IT! If you're anybody who has a heart read it. You will be bawling!! I was. Now I just can't get it out of my head.

There was a story about them on the news that night. They are from Provo. I won't tell you the whole story, because it's really long, and she tells it better then anybody could. But let me tell you, after reading that I was speechless. I have so many mixed emotions, thankfulness, sadness, compassion, heartache, fear, faith.........He is amazing! He is such a miracle! I am so thankful that she shared her families story with the world so we could all learn so many things from them and realize all the blessings we have.

I had no idea what it was about before I started reading it. So when I started I was going backwards, (Ya know how blogging is), so I wanted to read the whole thing. It's kind of long. As I was reading I so wanted to know what happened to this tiny 12 month old boy. I had to just skip to the beginning and start there so that I was going in order. I had the chills the whole time I was reading, I was crying so much that after I was done reading it I felt like I had been crying for weeks!

There was one specific part that got me(Well, there were a lot, but I'll tell ya about one.)Here is the part straight from her words that I read as I'm holding my baby that is just a couple months younger then hers-

Our Angel Nurse, Sally, helped us to hold him tonight.
To cradle our arms around him, stroke his tender cheeks and watch him sleep.
We sang to him that he is a Child of God.
A bit of Heaven was in our little room
as I felt his warm, limp body pressed against my own.
Count your blessings if you can do that without tubes and wires and machines between you.

The whole story touches me. That's why I say just read the blog. Make sure you have plenty of time to do it though. I think it means so much to me because it hits so close to home. As I was reading the entry about what happened-I totally saw me. And I know a lot of you would say the same about your selves. Just read it and you will understand what I mean.

I just want everyone to know that I'm thankful for all the blessings I have especially my husband and children. I love them with all my heart!!

Cabin Trip

We went to Idaho to our cabin for the weekend. Here are some of the highlights-

This was our ER trip. She was running with her tongue out and slipped and bit right through her tongue. Once the doctor looked at it she said they weren't going to do anything because it didn't go all the way through her tongue and the sides of her tongue were still together. She also said it would heal up in three days! Three days, right-Well, this is Saturday night at the hospital

I am AMAZED at how fast it has healed up. She has done super good. She only had a rough night on Saturday. The next day she was eating chips, and not complaining any more. That was our Idaho trip. Hope we get back soon-to the cabin, not the ER.

SANTA

We've seen SANTA a couple times this year, and all three of our kids are at different stages with him.

Olivia will hardly look at him, there was no way she was going to let go of Daddy!!

Payton doesn't really have a choice who's holding him, but he knows when he doesn't like who's holding him!!

And then there's Caden. He actually understands who SANTA is and what he does. He's not afraid of him at all!! He will talk his ear off telling him everything he wants and how good he's been.

We went to the Zoo yesterday. It was super fun. It was really busy though. We're glad we made it before it got really cold. The kids did super good. They walked the whole time. With their leashes of course. But they crashed as soon as we got in the car!!!

So, we haven't had Internet for a while, and now it's back. So I'm just going to give an short(in comparison to what it could be) update, mostly with pictures.

This was Caden, he got stung 15 times all over his poor little body. He was playing on the swing set, and if you know my kids, they never have clothes on, and I guess he found where they lived, and they got mad and just kept stinging him. So sad.

This is what we have been doing lately, POTTY TRAINING!! They did so good. We did it at the same time, she actually got it down before he did. Probably mostly because he is so stubborn. But they're both good now. I love not spending $100+ on diapers a month!!

This is Cuncle Caleb opening his Mission Call. He's going to Independence, Missouri. He leaves Oct. 21. Super Fast.

This is Caden and Curty going down the zip line at Mutual Dell. We had a ward activity there, it was way fun!!

This is my stinkin barely 5 month old, this is what he has been up to lately. He thinks he's a big boy and can crawl. Little stinker.

And he sucks his thumb So super cute!! And helpful.

Caden and Livi were both jumping on the tramp, and they squatted down and held hands and then Olivia jumped before him and hit his chin with her head. It seriously looked like he had drawn on himself with a permanent marker it was so dark.

Then Caden turned 3!! I know, in July, but I didn't have Internet. He loves Spongebob, thus the cake. They both had to open presents, but Caden didn't care.

So I saw these car seat drapes being sold at the mall-50 BUCKS!!!! I'm pretty sure I can make one, So I did. I love it!!

I also made a tu-tu for Livi. She loves it. Now I need to get her into dance.

I made her this dress too. I just made it out of fabric I had just to make sure it was easy and to see if I liked it before I went and bought more material. So it's made out of flannel, but hey, it works.

This one is totally random. We had Wingers one night, and as I was cleaning up I knocked a cup of ranch on the floor, so I picked it up and grabbed a paper towel, and when I came back, this is what it looked like. I had to take a picture to show Curty because it was his ranch, and I just know that by him touching it some of his love rubbed off onto it and he knew I was going to clean up, so he wanted to show his love some how. Or he really, really loves wings and ranch. Probably the second one.

And these are my independent children. They wanted to get in the tub, so they did. Livi didn't know how to take her jamies off yet. She sure does now.

Our third little angel decided to grace us with his presence on Friday morning at 3 a.m. It was a pretty interesting delivery. At least I think it was. I went to the doctor on Thursday at 11:15, I was 39 weeks. I was a 3. He stripped my membranes, thank goodness. I've never had that before so I didn't know what to expect. It really wasn't that bad. I got a little crampy and started having contraction about 10 minutes apart, but I have been having those for the last 2 months. So I wasn't getting excited about that. Then they started getting a little closer together, but only like 6 minutes. Curtis went to work at 5:30. Then at about 6:30 I decided that I wanted to go to the hospital, even though they were still only like 6 minutes apart. So I went to my mom's to drop off my kids and wait for Curtis to come get me. So we got the the hospital around 8 pm. I was still a 3, So they watched me for and hour ya know. Then they checked me again, and still a 3. The doctor wanted me to stay and walk around for an hour to see if that would do anything. So we did. I could tell that it wasn't doing anything. Sure enough, when she checked me at 10, still a 3. So they called the doctor and since there was no progress in 2 hours they sent me home with a shot of morphine. We went back to my mom's because I was thinking we would get our kids, but she thought it would be better if they stayed in case we went to the hospital in the night. So we helped get them asleep and then we left about midnight. We went home and I got in bed, I was still having contractions, strong ones, but still 10 minutes apart. I would fall asleep in between them and then wake up to them, and they were painful. I thought it was kind of weird that I could feel them that strong even when I was on the morphine. But I figured it hadn't been long enough. And they weren't close enough together. Curtis came to bed around 2:10. I made him be in charge of timing because I was too loopy and I couldn't even remember what time it was with the last contraction. So I think I had 3 that were 5 minutes apart and he asked if I wanted to go back to the hospital and I was kind of hesitant. But he made the executive decision that we were going back. Thank goodness for that. I even thought about getting in the tub, but I didn't. We left our house around 2:30. We took the police car. We didn't have to turn the lights on, but we were hauling. We arrived at UVRMC at about 2:45. He dropped me off at the front doors because I wasn't waiting to park and walk further. I could hardly walk at this point. I got up to labor and delivery and got to my room and changed, it seemed like forever before they came in. It was like mass confusion.(For me at least) I was crying and telling them I wanted my epidural right then and they said they just needed to check me and get an IV in and then they would get my epidural in. She checked me and I was a 6 1/2 it was approx. 2:55. Then that nurse walked to the door and told them to order me an epidural. I had another contraction and told them, loudly, that it was coming and another nurse sat down and checked me and said, we're complete. Then I felt my water break and next contraction I pushed and then I told them it was stinging, she said "that's because the head is out, once you push it all the way out it will stop stinging." So I pushed once more and he came out. 3 am on the dot. It was so fast the on call doctor didn't even make it to the room. After he was born I opened my eyes, and there were like 12 nurses in my room. So now I can say I've had a baby with out an epidural. If you can make it through the contractions it's not that bad. But I was on morphine and they were still killing me. Curtis just thanked me for not doing it in his police car. I don't know what I would have done if we would have had to do that. So now we know that we need to stay at the hospital when I'm at a 3.

Poor Curtis, doesn't do good with blood, stood by my side and held my hand the whole time. Well, let me squeeze his hand. He waited until after he was born, then the gave me a kiss and told me he needed to sit down. But he just sat down for a minute to get the camera's ready and then he started taking pictures.

He is 6 pounds 6 ounces. 20 inches long. He's got dark hair. Probably the most of all our children. His name is Walter Payton Campbell. He will go by Payton. I don't have my computer so my pictures aren't down loaded. These pictures are just from my phone, but at least you can kind of see what he looks like.

So here's an update on the pregnancy in case anyone wonders.

36 weeks- the Doctor said, "We'll call you a 1." So to me that means, ummm.... you're not really anything, but we'll just tell you that to make you fell good.

37 weeks- "No Progress."

38 weeks- "We'll call it a 1 1/2. Definitely not a 2. A 1 and some wiggle room."

So here I am, almost 39 weeks. I've never gone this long before and it's really frustrating. We've tried everything, except caster oil because I don't want all the side effects. So if anyone has any suggestions let me know. There have been so many days that feel like maybe something is happening, or is going to happen, and then nothing. So I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm just going to plan on being pregnant for eternity, and then if I have a baby it will be a pleasant surprise!!

Another Project Done

So I've been thinking lately, and if any of you know my kids, you know that they don't ever slow down, and they definitely never stop. So I figure that I'm just going to be wearing this new kid around all the time because if I set it down for 2 seconds they'll be dragging it around or shoving stuff in it's mouth or who knows what else they'll think of. Anyway, I have one of the carriers that you wear on the front, but I don't think a newborn would be comfortable all sprawled out in it. So I've been looking into those sling things. Now, I've never worn one, and I didn't think I would. (I find myself doing a lot of things I never thought I would. ie: Drive a mini van :)) Anyway, some of them look funny when you wear them, and some of them look uncomfortable, so I don't know what to do. So when I was visiting teaching, one of our sisters was saying her daughter had just made one because she's due in a few days. So I found out some details. Turns out she just looked on the Internet and found a pattern. I figured, hey I can do that. So I did. I made the bigger one first, technically, the untappered one. They're both reversible and made out of the same material, so you get what they both look like. I followed they're sizing guide and everything, I even made it a little bigger, I thought. But when I got done I tried it on, and I didn't like it. It felt like it was around my neck. Now I know I have a big gut right now, but it just felt weird. So luckily I had enough fabric to make another one that was a little longer so it hangs down farther. I also decided to taper it because I didn't like all that fabric around my neck. So then I tried that one on, much better. But now we'll have to wait and see how it feels with a baby in it. I hope I don't have to wait much longer!! I'll let you know how the carrier works out!!

As you all know, #3 should be here pretty soon. Better not be longer then 3 weeks because I am done. But anyway, I've been itching to make a blanket, but since we don't know what we're having it makes it kind of hard. So I decided to just make 2 small ones. A boy one and a girl one. And I'm finally done. I had to have one of my mom's friends help me, ya know, cut stuff, and tell me how to do the edges and stuff, but I am proud to say that I did them all on my own. They're the minki fabric, so they're really soft. I'm super excited.

So I did it. I broke down and bought a mini van. I never wanted to drive one, but the one we got is so nice and so comfortable to drive and ride in. And it's so much easier to put the kids in. You can laugh all you want but I really do like it.

We finally sold our Sequoia. The car that I begged and cried for and wanted so bad, is now gone. I just didn't want to drive such a big car since now we'll have 3 kids and I'll need a bigger car. But I actually put all three car seats in the car just to see if they would fit, and they do, they're really tight, and the rear facing seat doesn't sit quite flat so I don't know how long we can pull it off, but we're gonna try. At least for a little bit.

We had another ultrasound today and everything looks good. We needed to check the baby's kidneys, they were a little dilated at the first one, so they just wanted to check them again. They are still dilated, they're just on the high side of normal. So no big deal. Baby will be good.

So Saturday night we were in the emergency room. Caden was on our bed, and I had a lot of stuff on it, and one of the things I had on it was basically a picture frame, there was more to it, but so you get the picture, it was a picture frame with glass in it. Anyway, he's a child, and was jumping around and put his foot right through it. They didn't tell me how many stitches there are, but I can count 8 and he told me there's one inside. But that was the worst thing. They had to cut the skin more to stretch it, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't all they way numb because he would scream and shake every time they put a stitch in, and he wasn't even watching.

So this is what Curtis has looked like for the past about 4 weeks. They were having a beard contest at work so he was able to grow it out for a while. It actually looked better then I thought it would. If he would have kept it trimmed up and looking really good I would have liked it better. But because they were having a contest he just let it grow.
This is what he looked like when he shaved it into a handle bar mustache!! EEWWWW GROSSS!! The contest was over on Christmas Eve and now he has to go back to work so he had to shave it off anyway. I wouldn't let him keep that. So now he's just back to his 12 year old babyface!!

More nails

So I had these nails on for a little bit. My instructor at school really wanted to do some, so I let her. They were pretty, but they were also pretty hard to work with.

This is a set that I did, the pictures are not very good because they're from my phone, but you can still see it. It took me a long time to do a whole set of camo, but they were cute.

This is what I have on right now, I can claim that I did these ones too. If you can't tell there is some glitter on the tips, I really like it. Just keep me in mind if you ever need a nail service. Or glitter toes. Those are so cute!!! I need a picture of them on here.

So it's been a really long time since I posted anything. Sorry, I'm kinda busy. So these are just some cute pictures of my kids. They have this bus, and it's got blocks that you put in it, but Olivia likes to get rides in it. And Caden doesn't mind pulling her around. It's way cute.

And this is our 3rd little monkey. We had our Ultra sound on Dec. 5. Curtis worked the night before, so he got home at like 7 AM, and the appointment was a 9 down in Provo. So I get up to get ready and he lays down. At like 8 I'm in the bathroom doing my hair and Caden comes running in, "Mommy, Daddy sick." But he thinks that coughing means you're sick. So I asked him if I should check on dad, he said yes. Sure enough, he's over the toilet. I said to him, "you could have just told me you didn't want to go, you didn't have to fake sick." So needless to say I went alone, Curtis likes to go, but he couldn't. But I made sure I left the kids with him!! ha ha

Nails

So the day that we got home from Hawaii, my grandma passed away. She has been sick for a while, but is was all kind of sudden. She was doing pretty well, and then all of the sudden she just went downhill. But I'm glad that she waited for us to get home. I feel really bad that we were gone when she needed the most help. I also feel bad that I asked my parents to watch my kids while we were gone, because a couple of days after we left, my grandma moved in with them. But they said it was ok because a lot of people came to help with things. My mom told me that every morning when my kids would wake up they would go in grandma's room and Caden would say, "Hi Grandma Alpine." If she was awake she would talk to them. I'm glad they got to have that time with her. I am sad I wasn't there to see it. The funeral was just this week. It was really good. Very touching. I feel bad that we don't learn things about our relatives until we go to their funerals and hear stories about them. Then you wish they were here so you could ask them questions. But anyway, it was beautiful, and we love her very much and will miss her.

Olivia is finally 1!! Yeah!! Her birthday was on the 9th. So a few days ago, but that's ok. She loved her cake, and her presents. There are two cakes because we had two parties since my grandma was sick and living with my parents they couldn't leave and come over. So we had one with Curtis's family, and one with mine.

So we have some more news for everyone. It's probably not what people expect, but then again, maybe it is. So if any of you have looked at our Hawaii pictures, you may have noticed a little something growing. Yes, you're right, #3 is coming in April. April 15 to be exact. Well it probably won't be that exact, I can never wait until I'm supposed to. So we're hoping for an April Fool's Day baby. But just so everyone knows and doesn't ask, we're not finding out what it is, so don't ask until it's born!!

HOME SWEET HOME!

So we're finally home!! It feels great to be here. We spent 7 wonderful days in Paradise. It's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. We left on Monday Sept. 29. It was my first plane trip. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. So I guess I'm kind of dumb when it comes to putting pictures on here. I was going to put them on in order and kind of go through our trip with you, but I'm kind of computer dumb, so just be happy you get pictures!!

These are penguins. Did you know there are penguins on Maui? I didn't. But there are, they actually lived at the hotel. Not ours, but one that we ate at.

This is a "train" ride on the Maui Tropical Plantation. If you go to Maui and you want to bring Pineapple home, then get it from there. Everywhere else we found was about $10 a pineapple, we got 6 for $23. Airport ready. So yeah, good deal.

So I know this is kind of a random picture. But, if you look at the right of the bumper, under the #2, see those lines, how tiny they are? Well, let me tell you what happened. Last day there, right? Trying to kill some time because we had to check out by noon and our flight wasn't until 8:48 pm. So we thought we would drive around to see some different beaches. Well we are so lucky, that we got rear ended. But you can see in the picture, not that bad right? Well, we got the guys info and everything, I called the rental place and they said just come in and fill out and report when you drop the car off. So we're like ok. We were fine, everybody was fine, minor damage. So get back to drop the car off, they don't notice it, but we, being the good people that we are, tell them, and then a manager has to come look at it, and he says, yeah, turn it it. So we go in, fill everything out. We hadn't bought the insurance that covers us if someone hits us. It was like $25 a day. But we didn't even know that until we returned it. So finish filling everything out, and the lady says, ok, you'll be getting a bill in about 2-4 weeks. I was like, excuse me? It wasn't our fault. That's when she told me we didn't buy the right insurance. So I said, I'm not paying for it, and she was like well after you get the bill, you can send it to the other guys insurance to try and get them to pay. So basically if they won't pay, we have to. I'm so ticked off. I thought we were doing the right thing by telling them, because they wouldn't have even noticed if we hadn't. Anyway, that was our last day. Moving on......

This is on our dinner cruise. Curtis and I found out that we're not cruise ship people. I was too sick to eat. He ate, but then we just ended up sitting in the back where it's less bouncy. We took the same kind of boat when we went snorkeling, that experience was worse. I actually threw up on that ship. Well, over the edge. Yeah, we're NEVER doing that again, or anything like it.

We had some stole aways in our luggage. So we sent a picture to Caden. We still managed to stay under 50 pounds. I was surprised. All around it was an excellent trip. It was really long though. We were ready to come home. Thanks to my parents and everyone else who helped watch our children since this week has been a crazy one. We won't be taking a trip for a while.

So I'm trying to get everything ready for our trip. I know it's not until next week, but since I'm in school everyday from 12:30-4:30, and Curtis is working graveyards, I figured I should start early so I'm not trying to get it all done on Saturday, since I know I couldn't do it all in one day anyway. So I threw in a couple of loads of the kids clothes, of course at like 9:00 at night. When I went to get the stuff out of the dryer, they weren't dry. I thought maybe I forgot to turn it on, but I checked and it had run for a little bit. But I couldn't get it to turn on if my life depended on it. Thank goodness I live close to my mom and I just took my two loads over there to dry. At 11 at night. But we leave on Monday morning, hopefully we have enough clothes to take, and then when we come home, I won't have a dryer!! So if anyone knows anyone with an extra dryer, we need one. I know that's kind of a lame story, but that's about how exciting my life is. Hopefully the next blog will be longer, better, and with lots of cool Hawaii pictures!!

Caden is a Poo-Poo Head

So Caden is going through the stage where he loves to be naked!!! Today, he and Curtis were taking a nap in the family room, so I decided I would finally get in the shower and get ready. While I was in the process of so doing, Caden had woken up. He ran back to my room and of course I told him to get his diaper on, and he of course in return said no. Then I noticed that his hair was wet. I knew that I had a cup of water on the counter and I figured he had poured it out and made a mess. So I asked him, why is your hair wet? He said no wet. So I said what is in your hair? Then he said me poop. So I immediately look at his bum and I asked him if he pooped without his diaper on. Well, there was no poop on his bum, to my relief. So I continued to ask him why his hair is wet. And he continues just to say me poop. It took me a minute but I finally realized that it was poop in his hair. So then I had to find where it was. So I grabbed him and began to see if it was anywhere else on him. I figured, if it's in his hair, it has to be on his hands or something. I couldn't find any on him. So went out to the living room, and he had done it right on the carpet. and I guess he just layed his head down on it or something, smashed it good into the carpet, and his hair. So now we can really call him a poo-poo head!! Now I wish that I would have taken pictures, but I was so mad at the time I wasn't thinking about that.

So we just got back from a family reunion out in Duchesne count. At a place called warm springs retreat. It was really nice. It was one of those family reunions with 4 generations there, so there's a lot of people you don't know, but you get to know them. The most eventful thing for me, was the first night Olivia fell out of the tent trailer. It was pretty scary. She was rolling on the bed and she got stuck in the corner where the fabric comes down and meets the trailer, and I had no idea that it wasn't all securely closed up. So I'm just watching her talking to her telling her she's so funny, then all the sudden, she was gone! So I had to run out the door of the trailer, and around to the other side to get her, don't worry, we weren't parked on dirt or anything, just asphalt. I guess she was so scared, that she wasn't really crying, but she was really pale. So I took her over to my Uncle who is a doctor. He checked her out and said to make sure she doesn't throw up. She didn't, she was ok. But in the morning, I noticed that she had scratches on her chin, they looked like they were from Velcro, which is on the trailer, so my guess is that her head was the last thing out and so it probably didn't really hit the ground, thank goodness. Then the next morning, she and I were the first ones awake so I took her with me to get ready and stuff, and when I came back I left her outside in the stroller, and she started kinda crying for me and Caden popped right up and started crying saying "Sister fall out!" over and over. I had to explain to him that she didn't fall again that she was outside with me. He was very concerned. It was really cute.
Another part that I really enjoyed, but didn't get to hear much of, because I had 2 noisy children, was that they had all of the oldest generation, that being my grandfather and his siblings, sit around and another relative, their niece, asked them questions about what it was like, or how they felt, or how things were different for them having handicapped siblings. They have 2. But it was just fun to hear them telling stories and remembering. It was nice for me because I don't really know them, so it was nice to learn about my family and to hear stories about them, and from them. It's nice when it comes from a real person that you know, it helps you understand the stories better, and get a better feel for who your relatives are.
I also want to tell aunt Lynne thanks. She did so much work for this whole thing, and she did an awesome job. I think it was a real success. Thanks for all you hard work, we really appreciate it.

This is Caden's birthday cake. I made it. Isn't it just FABULOUS!! jk He did stick his finger in the 'a' on birthday, that's why it's kind of weird looking.

It's Caden's birthday today!! I can't believe that he is 2 already! It seems like he was just born. Actually it seems like he was just in my stomach and trying so hard to get out too early. I was sick of holding him back!! I just can't believe how fast time flies and how fast they grow. Everyday is something new, actually probably about every hour. A new word or a new trick. I have been working on teaching him how to say and do 2 when somebody asks him how old he is, but he won't do it. I asked him in the car yesterday how old he was going to be on his birthday, and he said 8. He thought that was pretty funny. I am just continuously amazed at them. Both of them. I can't believe how pretty they are(At least to me!!) And I wonder how we, (Curtis and I), made these beautiful babies. They are gorgeous. I don't see us in them, so that's probably why they're so beautiful. But I guess that's just a mom's perspective!

So this was our first attempt to take family pictures as a family of four. As you can tell from the pictures, it didn't go over so well. First of all, there was a wedding at the amphitheatre, who gets married on the 24 of July in Utah? So we had to stay clear at the back, out of the way. Second of all, the day totally didn't work out like it was supposed to. The kids got up early, so they were supposed to take naps early, oh no, they didn't take naps at all. So they were pretty upset. But other then then that, yeah great!

Since we're new to this whole blogging thing, I hope we can figure it out. I just thought I would give a little update since this is new. Curtis and I got married in November 2005. Had a honeymoon baby in July. That's Caden. If you're adding up the months, you're right, it's only 8 months, he was 4 weeks early. But everything was good, he's been healthy since day 1. He is on the smaller side of the scale, but hey, look at his parents. When he was 5 months old we felt very strongly that it was time to have another one. Well, I felt it earlier, but I had to convince Curtis. Nine months later, Olivia was born. She was only 2 weeks early. That seems like it was just yesterday, but we're going to have a 2 year old here in a minute.
Curtis has been working at Pleasant Grove Police Department for the last 4 years. I've also talked him into going back to school. So he's been working on getting his criminal justice degree when his schedule will allow. He recently had the opportunity to change departments. He now works for Lindon city. They just opened up their own police department. It is a much better place for him to be and it's just better for our family.
We bought a house in Lehi just before we got married. It was a little starter home that we have obviously grown out of. Thankfully my parents were remodeling a second home that they had and after they moved into it, we were able to buy their house from them. Thank goodness for parents.
My biggest accomplishment lately, and something I am very proud of is, I was able to loose about 35 lbs in 13 weeks!! After those 2 kids so close together, it just seemed like it was so hard to get it off, I didn't know how to do it. So, with the help of LA Weight Loss I was able to just drop it right off. I am thinner now then I can ever remember myself being.
